We had a great first Easter. Caroline loved her easter basket and the good food at Grandpa's. It was also Grandma's birthday so the day was extra special. We went to church on Saturday night and then spent Sunday at dad's. Everyone was together. Here are some pictures - the easter dress didn't last long and then she was back in shorts.

Caroline got her first haircut today. She was growing a mullet and I couldn't stand for that. We had the back cut so that it could all grow in together - it looks so cute - kinda stacked in the back. She was a very good girl and sat pretty still.

She is crawling ALL over the place and pulling up on everything. She loves to destroy anything that she can get her hands on. Every time I put her on the floor in her bedroom she goes right to her bookshelf and pulls the books off and throws them aside one by one - here she is in action. She is starting to hear the word "no" a little more and she doesn't really like it. She isn't saying it back to me but she has the head shake down for "no". Don't know where she learned that but she uses it a lot. I'm sure that as soon as she is able to say no I will hear it as much as she does.

We are having so much fun and it is so awesome to see her grow and develop. I am going to get her into swimming lessons in the coming weeks.

We have meet some friends who adopted a little girl from Kazakhzstan and arrived home at the end of December. She is only 3 weeks older than Caroline. We had a zoo date planned this weekend but the zoo was packed so we went to a park instead and let the girls play. It is so cute to see them together and it warms my heart that they were born in the same part of the world. They will be friends for life and I forsee a great friendship with the parents - they are very nice people.

We are getting ready for Amy and Brian's wedding in May - I expect that Caroline will be walking by then. We can't wait.

Gotta go for now - headed out of town for the day tomorrow and need a good night sleep for my 7am flight.
xoxo

Having fun in KC

In the laundry basket

I haven't posted for weeks so this one will bring you up to speed on the last several weeks.

We went to KC for the Valentine's Day / Presidents Day weekend. We had a great time. Spent lots of time with Junior and his family. Everyone absolutely loved Caroline and she loved all the attention. While in KC we also went to Herington, KS to stay a few days with Traci and Emma. My friend Nicky and her daughter Ella also joined us. Traci, Nicky, and I have been friends for a very long time and we enjoyed spending a few days together with our beautiful daughters - we are very proud mothers.

Last weekend my friend Kyndra, her husband Larry, their daughter Cassidy and Kyndra's folks came to visit from Denver. Kyndra and I have been friends since 7th grade and her parents are like second parents to me so it was so nice to have all them here to visit. We had a nice time and the girls enjoyed eachother. We plan to go there in July for a visit.
Caroline is officially crawling and pulling up. All she wants to do is stand. I can't leave her alone for a second or she has moved to the coffee table and is pulling herself up. She is very steady when she stands - I have a feeling the crawling won't last long and she will be on to walking. My house is not yet ready for a mobile toddler - guess I better get it that way soon. She wants to touch EVERYTHING - she is so curious. She has 6 teeth and more coming - she has had a rough few nights and is very crabby today - we are trying a nap right now for about the 4th time today and she is not asleep yet, I can hear her in there moving around and talking to herself. Probably cussing me out because I keep putting her in the there for a nap - believe me she needs one!

We had Amy & Brian's wedding shower last night - very fun. The picture attached with Caroline and Grandpa is from last night. The wedding is 2 months away tomorrow. We are all getting very excited.

My sister Julie, her husband Tom and my nephew Bo are coming from Minneapolis the last weekend of the month. They will be back for the wedding but cannot wait until then. They have had such a rough winter and Julie is in need of some warmth and some sunshine. I am so excited to have them meet Caroline. It will be great to have Bo and Caroline together - lots of pictures to follow after that trip.

Other than that not much new. I have been traveling a lot for work and thanks to mom, dad, and Amy I am able to do that though I miss Caroline so much when I am away. I try to only stay away 2 days and 1 night. I think she enjoys her time with Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Amy. This child is certainly not hurting for love and attention.
Caroline has her first birthday right around the corner - April 17th. I can't believe it!

I'll post again soon and add more pics.
