We had a great first Easter. Caroline loved her easter basket and the good food at Grandpa's. It was also Grandma's birthday so the day was extra special. We went to church on Saturday night and then spent Sunday at dad's. Everyone was together. Here are some pictures - the easter dress didn't last long and then she was back in shorts.
Caroline got her first haircut today. She was growing a mullet and I couldn't stand for that. We had the back cut so that it could all grow in together - it looks so cute - kinda stacked in the back. She was a very good girl and sat pretty still.
She is crawling ALL over the place and pulling up on everything. She loves to destroy anything that she can get her hands on. Every time I put her on the floor in her bedroom she goes right to her bookshelf and pulls the books off and throws them aside one by one - here she is in action. She is starting to hear the word "no" a little more and she doesn't really like it. She isn't saying it back to me but she has the head shake down for "no". Don't know where she learned that but she uses it a lot. I'm sure that as soon as she is able to say no I will hear it as much as she does.
We are having so much fun and it is so awesome to see her grow and develop. I am going to get her into swimming lessons in the coming weeks.
We have meet some friends who adopted a little girl from Kazakhzstan and arrived home at the end of December. She is only 3 weeks older than Caroline. We had a zoo date planned this weekend but the zoo was packed so we went to a park instead and let the girls play. It is so cute to see them together and it warms my heart that they were born in the same part of the world. They will be friends for life and I forsee a great friendship with the parents - they are very nice people.
We are getting ready for Amy and Brian's wedding in May - I expect that Caroline will be walking by then. We can't wait.
Gotta go for now - headed out of town for the day tomorrow and need a good night sleep for my 7am flight.
xoxo
